Lessons are a great way to increase your skills and deepen your relationship with your horse. Whether you're just starting, learning a new discipline, or getting back in the saddle after some time away, we will customize your lesson topics to help you reach your goals. Offering a foundational approach, we teach our students how to understand the nature of horses using a variety of communication strategies that will translate into whatever discipline you choose! Lessons are available by appointment at Dark Horse Horsemanship using one of our herd members or yours.
Private Lesson Package
Private lessons are $70 each, or if you prepay for 8, you get one free ($560 for the package, which breaks down to $62 per lesson). You may pay in full or make 2 payments of $280 (each payment covers 4.5 lessons; roughly one months’ worth of lessons).
Semi-Private Lesson Package
Semi-private lessons are $55 each, or if you prepay for 8, you get one free ($440 for the package, which breaks down to $49 per lesson). You may pay in full or make 2 payments of $220 (each payment covers 4.5 lessons; roughly one months’ worth of lessons).
Group Lesson Package
Group lessons are $45 each for a group of 3, or $40 each for a group of 4. Or if you prepay for 8, you get one free ($360 or $320 for the packages, which breaks down to $40 or $35 per lesson). You may pay in full or make 2 payments of $180 or $160 (each payment covers 4.5 lessons; roughly one months’ worth of lessons).
Traveling Lessons
Private: $85 per hour
Semi-private (2 people): $65 per hour/person
Group (3-6 people): $55 per hour/person
